» Quality Assurance

Strict adherence to quality assurance and inspection ensures consistency in properties and renders Tata Wiron PC Strand reliable for critical low relaxation pre-stressing jobs. The Quality process defines controls at every stage right from steel to rod to finished product and includes calibration of testing equipment, training of people for continuous improvements and internal audit of the quality system in line with ISO 9001-2000. Quality assurance facilities at the Borivli plant have been accredited by NABL for compliance to ISO/ IEC 17025:1999

  • Own steel making & wire rod rolling to meet specific chemistry and quality requirements.
  • Selection of wire rods of specified chemistry and quality.
  • Quality checks at every stage of production.
  • In-house relaxation testing facility.
  • Strands have been successfully tested at independent laboratories for fatigue under dynamic loads and for tensile.

» Approvals

Tata Wiron PC Strand is approved by EMPA, Switzerland for

  • Cryogenic tensile test at -165°C
  • Fatigue Test
  • One-pin Test
  • Accreditation of Quality Assurance by NABL India, which is recognised by NATA of Australia
  • Certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards
