» Tree Plantation by Global Wires, India

On 21st July 2011, Tree Plantation activity was organized at Navapur Naka Zillah Parishad School. Global Wires, India took the initiative in collaboration with Lions club of Tarapur. Twenty (20) plants along with tree guards were planted during this session.

From Tata Steel (WD) Mr. B.D. Patil (Sr.Manager-HR/IR), Mr. R. Suryawanshi (Associate, HR/IR), Mr. Prakash Raut (Associate), Mr.S.N.Pradhan (Manager-Security), Mr.R.L.Shetty(Security Supervisor), Miss Helen Parker (Project Trainee from Cambridge University, London) & Miss Shraddha Desai (CSR Coordinator) attended the tree plantation drive.

The Principal of the School, Mr. Santosh Sankhe welcomed the guests. The Principal, Mr.B.D.Patil (Tata Steel) and Mr. Jayant Rathod (Lions Club) gave an awareness speech about the importance of trees and tree plantation to the students. Every guest contributed towards the tree plantation by planting trees.

At the end the principal and staff members expressed vote of thanks to all the Lions Club & Tata Steel members present at the occasion for their immense contribution and support towards the community through such CSR initiatives.
