» Safety Week celebrations at Indore & Pithampur Wire Plants

On the occasion of 39th National Safety Day on 4th March 2010, Pithampur & Indore Wire Plants (PWP & IWP) at Indore had organized various events during 8th - 12th March 2010.

In the opening function on 8th March, PWP & IWP had invited distinguished experts from various industries

      Dr. Raka (Arvindo hospital) as Chief Guest

      Mr. Patel (Head of safety dept - IPS Engg College) as Safety Expert

      Mr. Bohra (GM - L & T CASE) as Chief Guest

      Mr. Paliwal (Safety officer - L & T CASE) as Safety Expert

During the week, various competitions were organized to create safety awareness amongst all employees, namely Safety drawing / posters, Rangoli, Sports, Story-telling / writing (‘Choti Si Bhool’), Safety Slogans, Skit and Quiz.

We had also organized training on "How to use PPEs" by the PPE supplier (Venus) & on "Stress Management" by a faculty of Prajapita Bramhakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalay. Exhibition on PPEs was also arranged by one of the vendors on the last day. Mock drill was conducted in both the plants during the week.

Employees, including family members, actively participated in all the events.

In the closing function on the last day of the Safety Week i.e. 12th March, experts in the field of Health & Safety were invited.

In the closing function, prizes were distributed to all the winners & runners-up. Also, Shabash awards were distributed to workmen who have excelled in their fields of work.
