» ETHICS WEEK CELEBRATIONS AT GLOBAL WIRES

Ethics Week celebrations were kicked-off at Global Wires on 19th July in a function organized at Tarapur. All the units of Global Wires across India, China and Thailand attended the function which was telecast live on the web and on Video Conferencing. Shishir Desai – the Ethics Counselor for Global Wires outlined the activities that have been planned at Global Wires on the Management of Business Ethics.

 The theme for this year’s celebrations is “Credibility”. Sunil Bhaskaran (EIC Global Wires), SP Gupte (Chief CRC West), Rajiv Kumar (Chief Wire Division), Yeoh Choon Kwee (MD SIW Thailand) and Richard Lung (DGM WJMP China) spoke on this occasion.

Legacy of Ethics at the House of Tatas, understanding of the value of credibility and creating measures for credibility were the major thoughts expressed by the speakers.

This was followed by the Ethics Pledge – first in Hindi and then in English. Hindi pledge was read out by Union Committee member Mr. Salaskar. English pledge was read out by Mr. Nikorn Ong On- Ethics Counselor at SIW-Thailand. The Ethics Pledge was also taken by all members of the leadership team and Union Committee members present for the occasion, as a symbol of our commitment.

Function ended with a speech by Mr. Prashant Ursekar – former Ethics Counselor GWB. In his speech, Mr. Ursekar commended the Senior Management team and the Union Committee members for creating an environment of transparency and trust in Wire Division where concerns could be raised freely without fear of retribution.
