» Wiron Retailer and Contractor Meets

Retailer and Contractor Meets were conducted at Kanpur on 5th January '11. This is a part of the ongoing VMGW (Value Management in Galvanized Wires) initiative at Global Wires India. During a period of four months from August to December '10, extensive research and background work was conducted in the Eastern UP territory which comprises of 48 districts of Uttar Pradesh. A team from Global Wires India along with the 'Wiron' GI wire & Binding Wire Distributor (M/s Bansi Lal Walaiti Ram) and his team of Sales Officers worked on collecting qualitative insights as well as quantitative data on the GI market size and key market drivers in the territory. With the ramping up of GI operations at ISWP Jamshedpur there is renewed focus on the northern markets of India, with Eastern UP being one of the territories within the region.

The meets conducted on 5th January saw an encouraging turnout of retailers and contractors from all across the territory (including Gorakhpur, Banda, Azamgarh, Lucknow and Kanpur). Wiron team comprised of Mr. Amit Dey (Head Retail Business), Mrs. Mridula (Industry Manager Retail), Mr. Sanjay Mahajan (Sr. Manager Sales North), Mr. Anurag Aggarwal (Manager Strategy & Integration) and the distributor and his team. There were discussions on advantages of Wiron wires as well as feedback from the participants on their expectations and suggestions. Key aspects such as length advantage, uniform coating and softness of Wiron GI wires was highlighted. Going ahead, the Wires team looks forward to further strengthening its relationship with these key stakeholders.
